Omitron was awarded a subcontract under a Department of Commerce, NOAA ProTech Satellite Domain focused on technical and scientific support of the acquisition, deployment, and ground system development/monitoring of satellites under the Professional and Technical Support Services (PRO-TECH) program.

NOAA awarded a total of 23 contracts under the ProTech Satellite Domain Multiple Award, IDIQ task order contract. The contracts support the full range of satellite activities which NOAA manages and the management of the environmental data for these missions. The mission and objectives of this domain are related to satellite and observation activities and the collection, preservation and dissemination of information derived therefrom. NOAA’s environmental satellite data are essential for forecasting weather, analyzing environmental and climate phenomena and monitoring hazards worldwide.
