    Swift Mission Operations Team awarded Robert H Goddard Quality and Process Improvement Award

    Omitron’s Swift Mission Operations Team received the NASA/GSFC 2023 Robert H. Goddard Award for Quality and Process Improvement. The citation for the award reads: “For exceptional mission operations of the Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory, directly enabling exciting scientific opportunities in the new era of multi-messenger astronomy.” Omitron developed and deployed the Swift Mission Operations Center (MOC) at Penn State University and has been successfully performing mission operations of the Swift Observatory for over 18 years, since launch in November 2004. “We are delighted to receive this prestigious award recognizing our teams’ exceptional performance and contributions to this important scientific mission”,
